On Feb. 12, Zhejiang Provincial CPC Committee and Provincial Government held a meeting to propose that the province should endeavor to build five internatinal tourism destinations, namely Yiwu Commercial Trade, Hangzhou Leisure, Ningbo Seashore, Shaoxing Culture and Zhoushan Sea.

   In the meeting, Shao Qiwei, the director-General of National Tourism Administration, pointed out that Yiwu enjoys a high international reputation as well as a high internationlization level of the small commodities. Yiwu market not only boasts a range of tourism commodities and the ability for R&D, but also possesses of the powerful marketing capacity and high industrial employment rate. Tourism industry must change the mode of its development by converting from quantity type to efficiency type. Yiwu is an epitome of tourism development of Zhejiang. For the tourism development of Yiwu, there is a great event this year, which is the holding of China International Tourism Products Fair as Yiwu will become the permanent undertaker of this fair. In addition, the National Tourism Administration will also set China Research Center for Touism Products in Yiwu.
