It's said that locals from Yiwu are born traders. They are famous for their business acumen, as well as their hard work and persistence. In our fourth installment, we take a look at the next generation of budding entrpreneurs.

College senior Yang Fugang is a legend among his fellow schoolmates. He launched an online cosmetics and accessories store two years ago, with just one thousand yuan borrowed from his parents and a laptop that he had initially planned to use for online games. And now, what's his monthly profit?

Yang Fugang, Student of Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College said "Around 50,000 yuan per month."

As business thrives, Yang Fugang has hired seven employees to help him out. He's also renting an office, as well as a 130 square meter warehouse.

Speaking about his first online transaction, Yang recalls just how difficult it was in the beginning, especially as a first year student. For a mere half yuan profit for a toy, he had to bike to a local market 3 kilometers away, in the sizzling summer heat.

But with hard work, perseverance and determination, Yang Fugang has come a long way. Speaking of the future, Yang shares his vision.

Yang Fugang said "Besides my on-line shop, I want to try the B2C business, which stands for 'business to consumer'. I want to set up a website and establish a nation-wide retail network. That will be a larger market for me. Next, I want to register my own company."

Yang is not the only student entrepreneur in his school. According to college Vice President Jia Shaohua, over two thousand students at Yiwu Industrial and Commercial College have started their own business. Jia is determined to give his students a dream to live by.

Jia Shaohua, Vice President of Yiwu Industrial * Commercial College said "Our goal is that, in three years time, a quarter of our students will run their own business by graduation. And this September, we will offer four new classes for 'start-up businesses'. We promise to help our students achieve an income of over 10 thousand yuan per month, by graduation."

A stroll through the Yiwu Industrial and Commercial College gives us the feeling that we are touring a vast e-commerce company.

Glued to their computers, the students are busy bargaining with customers. They have proven themselves quick learners in the real business world. And the nearby Yiwu small commodity market gives them an huge advantage with almost zero risk.
